I want to share this bit of information about sizing from INSTYLE magazine.

Alfredo Cabrera, author of 101 Things I Learned in Fashion School, explains "Most companies start with a size 8 production pattern, which gets shifted larger or smaller. But a high fashion 8 isn't typically as big as a mass-market brand's 8." Even in Europe, where measurements are standardized by law, there can be some variation because a designer may decide to fix a garment's waistline above (or below) a woman's natural waist. The best way to ensure a good fit is to try everything on- and trust the mirror instead of the digit on the label.

Fashion show pics

This year's Debutantes were invited to a fashion show, which featured both ball and party fashions. During the show the girls enjoyed snacks from Brownstone's and voted on their favorite gown. "The Favorite" was offered at 20% off to the first buyer.
We had such a GREAT time putting on this fashion show for the Debutantes and look forward to doing it again next year. Check out the behind the scenes slideshow which features our fabulous pictures, thanks to Gina with Contagious Photography! Also, thanks to last year's Debutantes: Jessica, Mollye, and Ashlin, who were the models for the show and to Belk Salon and Spa for doing a great job on hair.
